Outgoing Minister Andriukaitis does not expect changes in Lithuania's Health Ministry

On Thursday the mandate of Health Minister Vytenis Povilas Andriukaitis ends and he is replaced by Rimantė Šalaševičiūtė. Andriukaitis thinks that his successor, fellow social democrat, will not change the team and how the ministry is run.
Lithuania's Health Minister Vytenis Povilas Andriukaitis has confirmed his resignation. His successor will be known later in the day, with the Seimas' Social Democratic Vice-Speaker Algirdas Sysas named as one of the most realistic candidates.
The Seimas of Lithuania has backed the nomination of Vytenis Povilas Andriukaitis, of the Social Democratic Party, for European commissioner representing Lithuania. Eighty-two lawmakers on Thursday voted in favour of the motion, 10 were against and 16 abstained.
