Lithuania’s prime minister blames EU institutions for Brexit vote

Lithuania’s Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius said some of the blame for the vote to exit the EU by the British electorate should be placed at the door of EU institutions who had not listened to member states concerns enough.
The European Union will feel the consequences of Brexit in the short term but should be able to find a model of co-existence with Britain, said Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite after Britain voted to leave the EU.
Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė hopes that British voters will vote to stay in the European Union (EU) at the referendum and says that, irrespective of the outcome of the vote, Britain will remain an important partner for Lithuania.
