The Lithuania Tribune asked Žygimantas Pavilionis, Lithuania’s Ambassador to the USA how the events in Ukraine has affected America’s pivot to Asia, and where Lithuania should invest in order to strengthen the US interest in the region.
The Lithuania Tribune asked Žygimantas Pavilionis, Lithuania’s Ambassador in Washington, D.C., to share his insights about the Lithuanian community in the US. Some estimates suggest that there are some 1 million Americans of Lithuanian descent.
Lithuania’s friends in Washington, D.C., believe that we are living as if it were 1939 when the threat of occupation loomed over Lithuania. So says Lithuania’s ambassador to the United States, Žygimantas Pavilionis.
The Lithuania Tribune spoke to Lithuania’s Ambassador to the US Žygimantas Pavilionis. We asked what message he was planning to deliver to young Lithuanians from all over the world at the second World Lithuanian Youth Summit. The event took place in Prienai region, southern Lithuania, on 10-13 July.
