The biggest economic event of expatriate Lithuanians, business leaders, politicians, members of the Lithuanian and Litvak communities will share experience, network and discuss potential cooperation.

Addressing the forum, President Dalia Grybauskaitė noted that Lithuania was ranked as the 36th country in the world in terms of competitiveness and maintained a sustained 3-percent economic growth, which put the country in the "economic vanguard of the European Union".

This year's forum will focus on synergies between business and science, innovation, new technology, economic and cultural ties between Lithuania and Israel.

"The choice of venue for the forum reflects the importance of our historic identity and global aspiration. There's no better time than now to make use of the benefits of excellent relations between Lithuania and Israel. As globalization is felt by the economies of our countries, we seek to come up with unique ways to cooperate in business and science, in information technologies and education, in innovation and public spaces. May this forum be a launch and a basis for long-term partnership and cooperation," President Grybauskaitė said.
