On Thursday, the Seimas of Lithuania adopted amendments to the Road Transport Code drafted by the Ministry of Transport and Communications. New regulations are aimed at taxi and ride-hailing drivers to improve the quality of services.

The Board of the Seimas has tightened the procedure for the use of parliamentary allowances amid criticism leveled at a number of MPs for overspending. Seimas Speaker Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen says more steps will certainly come to improve the regulation.
