Former Vilnius city mayor, Lithuanian Freedom Union leader Artūras Zuokas has decided to run for city mayor once again, according to a post on his Facebook profile.

"I decided because I live Vilnius every day – a city that we all created, to which we returned optimism and where every Vilnius resident enjoys living. This is because to work for Vilnius and the people of Vilnius has always been a great honour and responsibility. Because every day I receive calls from Vilnius residents to run for mayor yet again. Because I left projects, which remain uncompleted," A. Zuokas explained his decision.

On Thursday, at a public transport stop in front of the Lithuanian Children and Youth Centre, the politician will officially declare his intent to run for mayor, his motives and main ideas.
