Voting is held in municipality offices from 8AM to 8PM. This is the last day for voters to cast their vote if they cannot come on Sunday.
The Central Electoral Commission (VRK) is celebrating that voters are more active than four years ago.
Based on current data, up to 9AM today, 34,921 voters have cast their vote in the elections, making for 1.42% of all voters.
This year, more voters voted during the first day of preliminary voting than four years ago. To remind, in the 2015 municipal elections, 30,954 voters cast their votes.
The voters in major cities, Vilnius (5048), Kaunas (2416) and Klaipėda (1275) were the most active in preliminary voting.
