The Liberal Movement has decided to discontinue the work in the ruling coalition with the conservatives, pledging to form a new ruling majority.

The party said the decision had been taken during the Monday's meeting of the Vilnius City Council's Liberal group and the presidium of the party's Vilnius branch.

"In an effort to ensure faster and more efficient decisions in Vilnius, we are ceasing cooperation with the conservative group," reads the press release.
