The Ukrainian Embassy in Lithuania has published information proving that the Ukrainian state border and airspace have been violated by Russia's Armed Forces and that the positions of Ukrainian troops and border guards as well as civilian settlements have been under fire and shelling from the Russian territory, and have been under attack in eastern Ukraine by pro-Russian groups and mercenaries armed by the Russian Federation.

Based on the satellite images, the Ukrainian territory and units have been under attack and shelling by artillery units from the territory of the Russian Federation.

According to the published information, seized weapons caches include Russian-made light and heavy weapons as well as rocket propelled grenades and anti-tank weapons, their technical documentation links them to arms factories in Russia. Armoured personnel carriers and tanks carrying Russian flags also are an indication of Russia's involvement. Documents (passports, insurance certificates, etc.) found at hand on captured pro-Russian fighters or mercenaries prove that at least some of them are Russian nationals.
