Lithuania's army will hold two-week military training for 23 Ukrainian army instructors, the Baltic country's Ministry of National Defence said on Tuesday.

The Ukrainians will be taught in Panevezys and Rukla to organize sniper training and also training on fighting in a populated territory.

"All the Ukrainian army instructors, scheduled to come to Lithuania, took part in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine or will arrive for training straight from the operation," the ministry said.

Lithuania has handed elements of weaponry to Ukraine, is also providing injured Ukrainian troops and contributing to training of Ukrainian troops. Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine have also established a trilateral brigade LITPOLUKRBRIG.
