Two soldiers were injured when an explosive went off in a military training ground near Pabradė, Lithuania, on Tuesday evening.

The injuries sustained by two servicemen of the Grand Duke Kęstutis Mechanized Infantry Battalion are minor, said commander Arūnas Gajauskas.

He said the soldiers were training with a Carl Gustav recoilless rifle when the accident happened at General Silvestras Žukauskas Training Ground. A grenade went off closer than expected and shrapnel hit two sodliers.

The two servicemen were taken to a hospital in Vilnius.
