His agenda in Vilnius includes meetings with Lithuania's President Dalia Grybauskaitė, Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius and Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius.

The meetings should focus on bilateral ties between Lithuania and Turkey, the process of Turkey's integration with the European Union. Opinions should be exchanged on the situation in Ukraine.

Turkey is a country with a population of nearly 77 million, a member of NATO and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. It is also a candidate to join the EU.
