The visit comes amid tensions over Turkey's relations with the European Union and the United States.

Cavusoglu is scheduled to meet on Tuesday with President Dalia Grybauskaitė, Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis and Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius.

The meetings will focus on bilateral relations, NATO cooperation, the security situation in Syria and the Middle East, and EU issues, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry said.
