“We met on Wednesday morning. There was a meeting on my candidacy. The prime minister had nominated me and the president invited me to talk,” he told BNS.

The president said she would consider him as a candidate, Trečiokas said.

“She did not give me a mark. We spoke and she said she would consider me, without saying yes or no. It was a normal open conversation,” the politician said.
