The Social Democrats will not sign a cooperation agreement with the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union (LFGU), the senior partner in the ruling coalition, before their presidium takes a decision on this, Gediminas Kirkilas, deputy chairman of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP), said on Friday.

Additional proposals regarding the agreement with the LFGU will now be submitted, Kirkilas said, adding that the document will not be signed on Sunday, the first day of the parliament's fall session.

According to the vice-chairman, the LSDP presidium will likely hold a meeting at the end of next week.
