Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis so far does not specify whether he will run for president, however he also states that the attacks against him and the cabinet make him consider it.

"For now I am not changing that position though the processes happening in the country, what is happening, withstanding the attack against me, against the cabinet, this shows fear from certain powers that I could even become a candidate. It makes you think," S. Skvernelis said.

The prime minister has so far firmly stated that at the moment, work in the cabinet is the most important to him.

The Lithuanian Farmer and Greens Union congress on January 26 will be where the party will declare its candidate.
