The Board of the Seimas has scheduled plenary sitting on Tuesday through Saturday which is the last day of the spring session, as stipulated in the Constitution.

"The session is heading towards the end and everyone ones to finish work they probably were not in a hurry to do during the session. We have many decisions to make," Rima Baškienė, the first deputy speaker of the Seimas, told BNS Lithuania.

Lithuanian lawmakers usually hold sittings on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

According Baškienė, lawmakers will have to vote on the tax and pensions reforms, changes in the healthcare system, other laws.

In her words, the spring session might be extended if lawmakers fail to adopt all amendments in time since part of the changes should come into force on Jul. 1.

Under the Constitution, the parliamentary spring session starts on Mar. 10 and ends on Jun. 30.
