The speakers will discuss joint initiatives by the Nordic and Baltic parliaments, as well as climate change, Interparliamentary cooperation and other issues.

Pranckietis will also attend an event marking Iceland's independence centenary in the Thingvellir National Park, the Lithuanian parliament's public relations office said.

Parliamentary cooperation within the NB8 framework started back in 1989. Lithuania hosted two meetings of parliamentary speakers, in 2003 and 2014.
