"The people will arrive by car. It will be a son, a father and a mother," Interior Vice-Minister Elvinas Jankevičius told BNS.

In his words, the family would want to settle in the capital Vilnius, but will be provided accommodation at the Rukla Refugee Reception Centre for now.

A week ago, the first family from war-torn Eastern Ukraine arrived in Lithuania and are now staying at a resting home Dainava in southern Lithuania. In a month, the family should move to a social apartment in Vilnius.

According to the latest data provided by the Foreign Ministry, about 50 Ukrainians and their family members of Lithuanian origin have declared willingness to resettle in Lithuania.

The government's decision to settle Ukrainians of Lithuanian origin from Donetsk and Luhansk and the Russian-annexed Crimea region was made in late July.

A total of about 10,000 persons of Lithuanian origin are currently in Ukraine, in addition to about 1,500 Lithuanian citizens who are officially registered there.
