Russian naval ships will go on more missions in 2015 than before, Chief of Russian General Staff General Valery Gerasimov said on Monday.

"As for missions of Russian naval ships, there will be 50 percent more of them than in 2013," he said on TV news channel Rossiya-24.

The intensity will increase, "because Russia's Navy has several tasks in the world ocean," he said.
