The Lithuanian parliament's Commission for Ethics and Procedures found on Wednesday that three parliamentarians of the ruling Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union (LFGU), including its chairman and health minister, had violated the Statute of the Seimas.

LFGU Chairman Ramūnas Karbauskis, Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga, and Agnė Širinskienė, chairwoman of the Seimas Committee on Health Affairs, breached the Statute when Karbauskis and Veryga gave their MP cards to Širinskienė, who used the cards to register the two men for a plenary discussion, it said.

The ethics watchdog also reminded the three lawmakers that a member of the Seimas could not give his or her certificate and card to other people.
