The fact of his death was confirmed to BNS Lithuania by Darius Lukosevicius, president of the Kaunas sports club of flying enthusiasts, who is in France now.

In his words, local police are looking into the circumstances of this incident.

Robertas Pesliakas, the federation's vice president, later told BNS Lithuania Skruibis was killed during his individual training session.

Skruibis was the federation's president since March, 2018.
