On Thursday, President Dalia Grybauskaitė signed a decree recalling Lithuania's Ambassador to NATO Kęstutis Jankauskas from the post.

Jankauskas' term of office ends on 13 January. The diplomat will be transferred to Georgia, where he will replace Estonia's Toivo Klaar as Head of the European Union Monitoring Mission.
