Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė has extended sincere condolences to Czech President Miloš Zeman over the deadly shooting in Uhersky Brod on Tuesday.

On Tuesday afternoon, at least 8 people were killed when a gunman opened fire in a restaurant in Uhersky Brod, a town of 17,000 people, nearly 300 kilometres south-east of Prague.

The president wished the families and friends of the victims and all the people of the country much strength and fortitude.
