The European Union will find ways of ensuring an amicable divorce with the United Kingdom, Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė said.

"We will find ways of parting on peaceful, friendly and mutually beneficial terms," she said in an interview broadcast by LRT Television on Friday.

The president said that "the United Kingdom will remain our partner; it will never be our enemy".
