More Polish voters in Vilnius backed Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski in Sunday's presidential election, and he will now face incumbent President Andrzej Duda in the second round of voting.

A total of 231 people voted in Vilnius over the weekend, the Polish Embassy in Vilnius told BNS, and 91 voted for the liberal mayor of Warsaw, and Duda received 77 votes.

Well-known journalist Szymon Holownia came in third with 34 votes.

With 90 percent of votes counted, Duda received 45 percent of votes, Trzaskowski came in second with almost 29 percent and Holownia was the third with almost 14 percent of votes.
