Poland does not discount the possibility of supplying weapons to Ukraine, but at this stage supports diplomatic efforts to resolve the ongoing conflict, Polish Defence Minister Tomasz Siemoniak said in Vilnius on Wednesday.

In his words, Poland's position on arms supply "is close to the United States' position."

"Such a possibility exists but today, especially in the Minsk meeting context, we prefer a peaceful resolution of the conflict. We reserve the right to make various decisions in the future," the Polish minister told a joint press conference with Lithuanian Minister of National Defence Juozas Olekas.
