The Order and Justice Party is delegating its chairman Remigijus Žemaitaitis to run for Vilnius mayor. The politician himself confirmed this to Delfi on Thursday morning.

The politician notes that while it will be a massive workload, he intends to follow his party members' will and seek the position.

When asked if he thought his competitors for the post of Vilnius mayor are strong, R. Žemaitaitis stated he does not believe so, remarking that much is promised by the others, however that the city's budget is limited and that they should talk less and do more.

Delfi reminds that currently, incumbent city Mayor Remigijus Šimašius, Dainius Kreivys of the TS-LKD, Martynas Nagevičius of the Liberal Movement, Gintautas Paluckas of the Social Democrats, Artūras Zuokas of the Lithuanian Freedom Union, Virginijus Sinkevičius of the LVŽS and others are aiming to run for the capital's mayor's seat.
