The admiral will visit the Norwegian troops in the Pabradė training area near Vilnius, where they are currently training, before going to Rukla, in central Lithuania, to meet with Colonel Mindaugas Steponavičius, the commander of the Iron Wolf mechanized infantry brigade, and with Lieutenant Colonel Thorsten Gensler, the commander of the NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battalion Battle Group in Lithuania.

Bruun-Hanssen is scheduled to meet with Lithuania's Chief of Defense Lieutenant General Jonas Vytautas Zukas in Vilnius on Wednesday.

Around 200 Norwegians are serving in the multinational battalion.

The Lithuanian Armed Forces in late October signed a 110-million-euro contract to purchase Norwegian Advanced Surface to Air Missile Systems (NASAMS).
