The Lithuanian foreign minister thanked the ambassador for successful cooperation in implementing the LNG terminal project and for activities of the Norwegian-Lithuanian Business Forum. This Scandinavian country is the fifth largest investor in Lithuania. According to Linkevičius, Lithuania especially appreciates the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, which aim to reduce economic and social differences in Lithuania. Within five years, the amount of almost LTL 300 million (EUR 87 million) was allocated to Lithuania.

During the meeting, much attention was dedicated to the cooperation between Norway and Lithuania in the field of children's rights.

The Lithuanian foreign minister expressed his gratitude for the Ambassador Arne Ulland's efforts to strengthen the bilateral relations.
