Ten police officers from Vilnius and Marijampolė district Police Headquarters‘ mobile companies have travelled to Slovenia to help with the massive influx of refugees there.

The officers will help maintain public order in the country's border region that many refugees are still moving through. They will stay there until March 3.

This will be the fifth group of Lithuanian officers to go to Slovenia to support efforts to manage the huge influx of refugees from the war in Syria. Over 50 Lithuanian police officers have already worked in Slovenia.
