"We spoke about education, where I see key problems and what education minister should, first of all, do. A lot of things were discussed," the Labour Party MP told BNS.

The position of education and science minister in Lithuania has been vacant since late April when Dainius Pavalkis, also of the Labour Party, resigned. Pavalkis had been pressured by his own party to step down due to his alleged failure to implement the party's programme.
