Some 22.2 percent of those polled by Spinter Tyrimai in late March said they would vote for Nausėda, up from 20.4 percent a month ago.

Another 13.9 percent would support Matijošaitis, up from 11.7 percent, and 8.7 percent named Skvernelis as their choice for president, down from 9.3 percent.

Conservative MP Ingrida Šimonytė is in fourth place with 6.1 percent (up from 5.6 percent in February), followed by Vygaudas Ušackas, the EU's former ambassador to Moscow, at number five with 5.9 percent (up from 5.5 percent).

Further down the list are MP Naglis Puteikis, MEP Antanas Guoga, the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union's chairman Ramūnas Karbauskis, MP Žygimantas Pavilionis, European Commissioner Vytenis Povilas Andriukaitis, businessman Robertas Dargis, MP Aušra Maldeikienė, Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Šimašius, and MEP Valentinas Mazuronis.

Some 12.2 percent of those polled said they did not know who they would vote for and another 11.5 percent said that would not vote at all.

Spinter Tyrimai polled 1,009 people aged between 18 and 75 years on March 21-29. The results of the poll have an error margin of 3.1 percent.
