At a meeting with Lieutenant General Riho Terras, commander-in-chief of the Estonian Defence Forces, Farina said that it could be expected that the decisions on the military garrison, which has already been considered by the defence ministers of various NATO countries, will be accepted at the summit meeting.

He also said that the summit meeting will also include proposals for decisions on the threats to Southern European states from the situation in Libya and Syria.

The NATO Joint Force headquarters in Brunssum in the Netherlands is one of NATO's two operational headquarters. The base in Brunssum is responsible for NATO's rapid reaction forces.
