NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will visit Vilnius on Thursday, 3 September.

He will meet with President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė, Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius and Minister of National Defence Juozas Olekas.

Stoltenberg will participate in a ceremony inaugurating the headquarters of the NATO Force Integration Unit (NFIU) in Lithuania.

At 11:30, the secretary general will have a joint press conference with the president of Lithuania at NFIU Headquarters.

The NFIU is established in Lithuania in accordance with the NATO Readiness Action Plan approved by the NATO Summit in Wales in 2014. Equivalent NFIUs will be opened in Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Romania on 3 September as well.
