TV host and producer Edmundas Jakilaitis, public figure Andrius Tapinas and Monika Garbaciauskaite-Budriene, head of the national broadcaster LRT, have been named the most influential journalists in Lithuania, according to a survey by the Reitingai magazine for the delfi.lt news website, published on Wednesday.

The results of the elite survey show Jakilaitis received 687 votes, Tapinas got 506 and 499 voted for Garbaciauskaite-Budriene.

Political analyst Rimvydas Valata and journalist Rita Miliute also got into the TOP-5 with 360 and 308 votes respectively.

The survey of 1,013 people, including politicians, businessmen, civil servants, journalists, public figures and athletes, was carried out on June 20 through July 20.

In a separate public survey, the TOP-5 of the most influential journalists in Lithuania includes, Jakilaitis, Tapinas, Valatka, lifestyle and talk show host Ruta Mikelkeviciute and Miliute.
