Dalia Kadišienė, Lithuania's permanent representative to the World Trade Organization, has been appointed as head of the organization's Committee on Trade Facilitation for a year, the Foreign Ministry said on Friday.

Kadišienė, who has served as Lithuania's representative to the WTO since 2015, was appointed as the committee's head in Geneva on Thursday, it said.

The committee is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the WTO's Trade Facilitation Agreement aimed at expediting the movement, release and clearance of goods across borders.
