Troops from the Lithuanian Air Force's Aviation Base are taking part in the Ample Strike international air force exercise hosted by the Czech Republic.

Aircraft crews are training to carry out close air support tasks and integration of air-ground operations during the exercise, which is running from Aug. 27 to Sept. 9.

The Lithuanian troops participate in the drills with L-39 light attack aircraft.

The annual Ample Strike exercise this year involves around 300 participants from 17 NATO and partner countries and 1,000 Czech troops.
