"I am happy to welcome you at the office of the Government of Lithuania. I am sure we will enjoy a fruitful future cooperation and I wish you a successful term in office in Vilnius," Butkevičius said in his address.

With a view to promoting closer business cooperation, Butkevičius invited to consider the services of the Lithuanian railway container train Viking. The prime minister stressed that the benefits of the train is the time, simplified customs procedures and tariffs for transportation.

The prime minister and the Norwegian ambassador also welcomed the final stages of the Klaipėda LNG terminal project. Butkevičius extended his invitation to Norwegian EU Affairs Minister Vidar Helgesen to come to the opening ceremony of the LNG terminal on 27 October.
