Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius on Tuesday called on Israel to adequately use force after Israeli forces killed at least 58 Palestinians near the border with the Gaza Strip.

"Israel, understandably, has the right to defend its territory, sovereignty. (…) But we call for, on one hand, adequate use of force," Linkevičius told journalists in Vilnius on Tuesday.

"The number of victims is high and that’s raising concern," he said.
