Lithuanian EU Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Vytenis Povilas Andriukaitis has selected his team: the office will consist of seven professionals, including three Lithuanians and four non-Lithuanians, the Lietuvos Žinios daily reports.

"The team will include representatives of Germany, France, Portugal and Italy," the commissioner's office manager, former Lithuanian Ambassador to the EU Arūnas Vinciūnas, said. It will also be joined by diplomat Arūnas Ribokas and former assistant to Lithuanian Social Democratic MEP Justas Vincas Paleckis, Jurgis Gurstis.

According to Vinciūnas, most of the team members are residents of Brussels and only Gurstis will come from Lithuania.
