Travellers in China can now file applications for Schengen visas at Lithuanian visa centres in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Jinan and Shenzhen.

"The intensifying bilateral relations between Lithuania and China in the areas of tourism, trade and investment create the need to bring services closer to tourists and business communities, the ministry said in a press release.

"The opening of the five Lithuanian visa centres is a response to this need," it said.
