"First of all, you must understand that the Iranian nuclear programme is a threat to the entire world. Iran remains the biggest sponsor for the world's terror activities," he said.

The Israeli minister also voiced his concerns about the growth of nuclear weapons in the Middle East.

"What would be the consequences of the nuclear arms race in the Middle East? Like in some Hollywood horror film or maybe even worse," Lieberman said.
