Those away as of Monday include Culture Minister Mindaugas Kvietkauskas, Education, Science and Sports Minister Algirdas Monkevicius, Agriculture Minister Giedrius Surplys, Energy Minister Zygimantas Vaiciunas and Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga.

Foreign Minister Linas Linkevius is on his annual leave as of last week, and Environment Minister Kestutis Mazeika will take parental leave for two weeks as of Thursday.

Other ministers will substitute for absent colleagues.

Tomas Berzinskas, spokesman for the prime minister, told BNS Lithuania Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis' vacation in August would depend on the formation of the new government and the nomination of a European commissioner to represent Lithuania.
