The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges Lithuanian citizens who are now in Israel and Palestine to remain extremely vigilant and take all safety precautions due to the armed actions in the Gaza Strip. The ministry once again recommends to refrain from visiting Israel and the Palestinian territories.

It is also recommended to refrain from visiting southern Israel, 40 kilometres around the Gaza Strip. Lithuanian citizens already in Gaza are advised to leave immediately.

The ministry notes that Eilat resort, located in southern Israel, was under fire from Sinai Peninsula.

Lithuanian citizens who already are in Israel and Palestine are advised not only to take high precaution measures, but to follow announcement and instructions of competent institutions, avoid mass gatherings and demonstrations.

It is necessary to carry identification documents and entry visas. If needed, citizens can address the Lithuanian Embassy in Tel Aviv.
