European Union Commissioner for agriculture Phil Hogan is coming to Lithuania to take part in the Baltic agriculture show AgroBalt 2016 in Kaunas this week.

During the visit, Hogan is meeting with Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius and Agriculture Minister Virginija Baltraitienė.

Among the issues to be discussed is the demand of Lithuanian dairy farmers for compensations as low milk prices have eroded their revenue. About 3,000 farmers are planning a rally in Vilnius this week.

In addition to AgroBalt, Kaunas is this week hosting the national agriculture show 'Ką pasėsi..."
