"We expect a joint document to be approved at the beginning of next week," Gabrielius Landsbergis, the Homeland Union's chairman, said in a statement on Thursday.

The three parties, which will have at least 74 of 141 seats in the new parliament, have exchanged views on the principles for the formation of the coalition and its priority tasks, Landsbergis said.

The Homeland Union, the biggest party in the next parliament, will "in the coming days" examine the partners' proposals for the coalition agreement and look at "which provisions can be integrated into a single document right away and which require further additional consultations and discussions", he added.
