Belgium opened an honorary consulate in the Lithuanian capital on Monday, appointing businessman Jacques Barbier as honorary consul.

The consulate is based on Šiaulių Street in central Vilnius, its representatives said.

Barbier is the CEO of Septinta, a pharmaceutical imports company.

Lithuania opened an honorary consulate in Charleroi, Belgium, a few weeks ago, pulling up the total number of Lithuanian honorary consulates in Belgium to three.
