"Their helicopter violated our airspace and today a diplomatic note has been handed in to the Belarusian ambassador," Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius told BNS on Monday.

In his words, the helicopter was seen near Medininkai, a town near the Belarusian border, at the end of the human chain, the head of Lithuania's diplomacy said.

Meanwhile, Belarusian news agency BelTA on Monday reported about an attempt to violate Belarus' airspace from the Lithuanian side. The Belarusian Defense Ministry claims that a drone with eight balloons and "anti-state" symbols.

BelTA claims the drone was stooped by a Belarusian Mi-24 helicopter and Minsk is preparing a note over the incident. The Lithuanian foreign minister confirmed to BNS, however, that such a document has not been received yet.
