Being under the influence of alcohol, the American, born in 1987, got into a fight at around 2 a. a.m. with two Azerbaijani citizens, born in 1998 and 1996, who were also under the influence of alcohol. The American soldier was not uniformed and was not on duty.

During the conflict, one of the Azerbaijani punched the American in the face. He was later checked by medics for facial bruising and released.

Breathalyzer results showed there were 1.09 and 1.44 permilles of alcohol in the Azerbaijanis' blood, and the American gave a reading of 2.14 permilles.

One of the Azerbaijanis was put into custody. The investigation continues.
